"I want to be something else…something more." This is what many people think unconsciously (and even consciously) when it comes to transformation on the spiritual quest. It's a shock to most when they discover that transformation will only get them so far. In spiritual alchemy (or personal alchemy), you are best able to harness the full power of the life force when instead of saying, "I want to me something else," you are able to say sincerely, "I want to be fully all that I am." This is spiritual gold. You already are what you are becoming in the way that a embryo already is what it will become. It will not grow into something different. You cannot be more than what you are. You can only be what you are…completely and to your fullest potential.
